Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): SBFC Target Finishing Challenge

Finishing

Set-Up: 2 x 50x30yd areas side by side with goals positioned at opposite ends.

Organisation: 2 GKs and 2 equal teams.

Instructions:

Player A plays square pass to Player B who then plays a long ball (can be driven or aerial) into Player C who is the 'target'

Player C will lay off for Player D to strike at goal.

Once shot is hit Player C turns to receive ball from Player E and strikes and goal and Player D then receives the ball from Player F for another strike at goal.

Both shots must be first time finishes.

Rotation: A & B become C&D, C&D move to E&F and E&F go back to A&B

Challenge: Both teams have 5mins to get as many goals as they can in that time. The rotation must take place. For every shot that misses the target they lose a point. For every goal scored they gain 1 point.
