Players start at blue cone and run with the ball to the first red cone, perform a specific skill and run back
Red cone- 5 toe taps
Green cone- 3 kick ups (bounce first if needed)
Orange cone - drag back turn

Challenge players to use the skills they have practised
Task the players resting to mark on the whiteboard how many times they see a player perform a skill

Place tall cones in the middle of the area and position players starting point (red cone) at different distances to allow short and long range shooting
Players pair up with a ball each and take it in turns to strike at the middle cone and aim to knock it over
Play for 1 minute then move players either up or down the line depending on their success rate
Progressions:
- If too easy challenge players to shoot with week foot
Coaching Points:
- Strike with various parts of the foot- laces, inside, outside
- Look at the target before shooting
- Place standing foot next to the ball, facing target
- Toes pointed down before making contact with laces
- Follow through after striking
- Lean forward (chest over ball)

One of the resting players acts as referee
Task the players resting to mark on the whiteboard how many shots at goal they see from each team
Refresh players on what has been covered in the session so far.

Each player has a ball, aim is to dribble through as many gates as possible in 30 seconds
Players must perform different skills and techniques as demonstrated by coach and player:
Blue cones - sole roles/headers
Orange cones - backwards/kick ups
Green cones - scissors/inside outside chop
Coaching Points:
- stay light on your feet when dribbling
-use both left and right foot
-keep your head up
-be ready to change direction and look for another gate
-use your arms for balance when dribbling/performing skills
Ask players to count how many cones they have been through in 30 seconds
Give players a few minutes to try and demonstrate different ways of going through the cones, encourage them to try new skills of their own and ask them to demonstrate to group
