OVERLOAD/UNDERLOAD
SET UP
Make the pitch smaller as illustrated.
Each team needs to split their player up either side of the goal as illustrated (players should not be standing by the goal). Mark out an area for them to stand.
Each team has a GK.
The coach is positioned at the half way line with a nest of futsal ball.
Coach will call out how many players he wants from each team to come out on the court.
Example: Red 2 Purple 1, Red 4 Purple 2, Red 2 Purple 3. Numbers cannot be equal
Coach will play to the team with the most players out on the court.
Game is played to a conclusion.
Those players need to sprint back at the finish so the next round can start as they may be involved in that.
They must get back to the waiting area before they come back on the court (RECOVERY RUNS).
GAME IS CONTINUOUS - Play for 5 mins, 1 min rest
If overloaded team score = 1 goal
If underloaded team score = 2 goals
PROGRESSION
As above but play the ball to the underloaded team first instead.
Each goal is worth 1 point
