Aim:
-To improve the teams ability to maintain possession by developing individual passing and movement.

Set Up:
As above, 5-10 yards between cones.
Activity:
-Players pass and follow their pass, as shown above.
-Middle players receive and dribble before they pass.
-2 balls going at the same time.
(ideally looking at the midfield connecting with the forward and switching the play)

-Rotate direction

Intensity: Moderate to high

Rest: 1 minute between sets

- 20 x 30 yards
- 4 v 4 plus Targets in end zones
Activity:
-4 v 4
- non-directional. Once a Team has scored at one target player they maintain possession and look to score at the other target.
Progression
-two / three touch limit
- less coaching, let them play

Duration per game: 3 minutes
Reps: 4-6
Rest: 1 minute between games

Technical Warm up (15 mins)
Set up:
-place cones or poles in centre with small cones 15 yards from middle as shown
-divide group into 4 (one group behind each cone)
Activity:
-4 players at once (one from each line). One ball per line.
-Players start and finish at same line.
-Begin with light jog to middle, around pole, jog out and join line to left. Repeat with lateral movement, backwards, skipping.
-Players dribble ball to middle go around the pole and pass back
-Soccer boxes to middle and pass back
-Toes taps and pass back
(players must pass with left and right foot)
-Players dribble to middle and perform a turn (pull-back, outside cut, L-shape) then pass back.
-Make sure players are using both feet.
Dosage:
Intensity: Moderate to high
Reps: 2 (clockwise and counter-clockwise)
Rest: 30 seconds between each rep
Coaching Points:
-close control
-use all surfaces of the foot
