  • 1 red player from each side sprints out and around the poles
  • A blue player then passes the ball out and then runs out to defend
  • 2 reds VS 1 blue

Coaching Points:

  • Make use of the overload
  • Make different runs to trick the defender once your team has possession
  • Good communication

Method: Shooting Drill With Transition To Defend

  • Blue player takes a touch then has a shot
  • The second the blue player takes his shot the red player does the exact same time
  • The blue player must try and sprint across and block the red players shot
  • When that is over that red player must attempt the block the next blue players shot

Coaching Points:

  • On the toes ready to go
  • Don't admire our shot
  • Get across quickly
