On coaches command, one player from each team races out to retreive a soccer ball and return it to their corner-the next player can go when the first player gets the ball into their square.
Players should put the ball in their goal before returning to the end of their line
Play until all the soccer balls are returned, most balls wins!
Coaching Points/Guided questions:

2) Accelerate towards corner/goal, big touches
3) Close control near
Q1) How can you get back to your goal faster (why type of dribbling)?
Q2) What is the best way to get the ball out of the square inthe middle? Bottom of the foot? side of the foot?
Progressions:
Progression: Specify which foot, surface of the foot players must use
Progression: Players can now steal from other team's goals - play to a certain number of balls instead of time limit
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization: Players split in 3 teams. 3 goals 15 yards away.
Instructions: One player starts behind the goal (jack). A goal must be scored to release him. Once the first ball goes in the shooter starts a line behind the goal and jack returns to the ahooting line. From that point on all players try to shoot the ball into the goal and join the line behind the goal. The (Jack) is the last shooter and once they score and join the line behind the goal the game is over. Players who form the line behind the goal can help get missed shots back to the shooters.
Coaching Points:
Eye on the ball
Supporting foot next the ball and pointing at target
Angle of approach is off center
Follow through straight to the target
Progressions:
Time limit
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
20 x 20 yd grid - with 2yd end zones
Players line up inside one end zone with a ball (minnows)
Two players hold pinnies and stand inside grid w/o ball (sharks)
Instructions:
• Minnows try to dribble to other side without getting ball touched by the sharks - must stop inside end zone
• If ball is touched/stolen/lost, minnow becomes a shark-
• When a minnow is tagged they must put their ball safetly in
'Davey Jones' Locker"
• Sharks can only move side to side (Progression-allow sharks to move however they want)
Coaching Points/Guided Questions:
1) Dribbling technique-close control or longer touches
2) Eyes up to avoid collisions
Q1) How do we get to other side without being tagged? - avoid/fake out taggers, find space, go fast
Q2) How can we dribble faster? - run fast, longer touches
Q3) How do make sure we can stop ball inside end zone? - slow down/smaller touches
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
- 40x30 area (adjust size as needed).
- Players in pairs.
- One pinnie per pair.
- All balls in center of area.
Instructions:
• Players hold pinnie between two.
• They must run attached by their pinnie the entire time.
• Player in the middle looks to strike his/her ball at pairs running around the area.
• If a pair is struck, they immediately drop their pinnie and join the blaster in the middle.
• If a pair run apart and drop their pinnie, they join the blaster(s) in the middle.
• Players can only get hit below hip or knee level, depending on group dynamic.
• Last pair remaining wins the round.
Coaching Points:

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
- 40 x 30 yard area with all the balls in the square in the middle of the area (Size of area depends on age/ability of players and numbers
Instructions:
• Ghosts (players) are running around free inside the haunted house (must stay within red cones)
• The ghostbusters (coach) has to try to chase down the ghosts and get rid of them
• When ghostbuster hits the ghost with his plasma beam (ball) the ghost becomes a ghostbuster to help out the other ghostbusters.
• Ghost then goes to get his a plasma blaster (ball) from the middle
• If ball goes outside of the area, the ghostbuster who shot the ball must retreive it
Coaching Points:
1) Keep your head up to see where all the ghostbusters are
2) Change directions and speeds to get away from the busters
3) Ghostbusters use the inside of their feet to control and hit the ball at the ghosts
Progressions:
P- Add a ball for each player to dribble
P- Start with more ghostbusters

Warm-up (30 mins)
Organization:
-20 x 20 yard area
-Each player has a ball
Instructions:
Part 1
Each player has a ball and is introduced to a few different types of dribbling techniques:
Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi and Ineiesta
Players will be asked how they might use each type, after they have been introduced:
-If you have a lot of space which technique might be the best?
-If you are in a very tight space how could you dribble?
Part 2
-Space is the same, now all but two players have a ball.
-The players with out the ball are defenders and hold a pinnie in their hand.
-Defenders are trying to simply touch another players ball with their foot (They are not trying to tackle)
-When a Defender touches a ball they take that ball and give their pinnie to the attacker.
-That attacker then becomes the tagger/defender
-The goal is to get tagged the fewest times and to not be it when time runs out.
Coaching Points:
-Using the proper dribbling technique/surface of the foot
-Looking for/identifiying where the open space.
-Aware of the defenders and other attackers
