Intro

Organization:

    • 30x25
    • Numbered Cones 1-8

Instructions:

  • Players at cone 1 and 5 play 1v1
  • Use payers on the outsides as bumpers. if you can successfully get the ball back from a bumper, your goal will be worth one more point.
  • players can get multiple points for a goal.
  • Rotate to the next number when the ball goes out or there is a goal

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Where do we move after we pass to the bumpers?
  • Do we want to stop while dribbling or keep moving forward?
  • Be patient on defense

Regressions/Progressions:

  • P - Players who can successfully get the ball back from a bumper can now bring that player onto the field as an additional teammate.

Main Activity

Organization:

  • 2 teams

Instructions:

  • Teams alternate starting with the ball from a pass from coach
  • Team will call out how many players they want to have come and defend
  • The number of opponents on the field is how many points the goal is worth. that goes for both teams in the same turn.

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • can we pick our heads up and see where our teammates are?
  • Can we communicate where we are and that we want a pass?
  • Where is the open man?
  • Patience on offense

Regressions/Progressions:

  • R - Everyone on the attacking team has to touch the ball before they score
  • P - Every 5 passes from the attacking team, the defense gets another player on

Conditioned Game

Organization:

  • 2 goals
  • 2 teams

Instructions:

  • Players set up with one player(or 2 depending on numbers) on the field and 2 in boxes
  • Coach plays a ball in the middle and the one player at the goal has a 1v1
  • Players need to pass to a teammate and that will bring them into the game, causing an overload
  • Bringing all teammates in the game makes goals worth double

Coaching Points/Questions:

  • Wake the choice to use your teammates or take on the 1v1
  • With numbers up, use your teammates to pass the ball around and make the defender chase 

Regressions/Progressions:

  • R - If there's a 3v1 every time, let the team with 1 bring on another player when the other team gets 3 players in
