Aim of practice: Break lines to create attacking opportunities
Organisation
Practice Type: General - possession
Players: 14 split into two groups of 7
Area: 36x44 - 2x18yard boxes
Timings: 5x4 min blocks
Conditions:
- the 2 blue players on the outside are approx. in line with penatly spot.
- both teams attack twice
- play 2v1 towards 1 goal (red 2 v blue 1). As soon as the ball goes dead a 2nd ball is fed into one of the wide players (blue) to create a 3 (blue) v 2 (red) in the opposite direction. The original blue defender becomes one of the 3 attackers . A different 2 x red defenders run on from behind the goal to become the 2 defenders in the 3v2.

Timings: 3x6 min blocks
Challenges, Conditions and Targets
- make the pitch big - width and depth in attack
- fast passes and forward movement to create 2v1 or 3v2 situations
- overlap/underlap
- weight & accuracy of final pass - can the player finishing shoot 1st time?
- when the team is in possession an extra player is able to join in the middle area, as that happens rotations have to happen. They must have at least one player in each section of the game. Central players can also rotate into other areas to creat overloads/equal up numbers.
- when the team work the ball forward they are able to get a shot off at goal. If they score they get the ball from their keeper again and if they miss play they will flip over to the other team.

Players: 14 split into two groups of 7
Area: 4x10 squares with players woking in to of the squares
Timings: 4x2 mins blocks- rotate working players after each block
Conditions:
- players play 2v2+1in the middle with one neutral player on side who has possession of the ball.
- servers on the outside act as a floating player and the target for the practice.
- players throw the ball to one another in the middle but must head the ball out to one of the end players to score a goal.
- when they receive a pass they must serve a ball to be headed back to the team that passed them the ball - the team then look to score at the other end.
