Organization:
- Paying area is divided into 3 zones. Attacking. Mid, and Defensive zones
- Players are divided into two teams and placed into attacking and defensive position as shown in the diagram.
- Each team has a goalkeeper
- Balls are compiled by each goal
Instructions:
- Goalkeeper starts with the ball and plays a pass to player one
-has the ball is traveling to player 1, Players 2 & 3 move into position to offer (triangular) support
- a 3v2 game ensues where there is a small 2v1 game in the mid 3rd or a 3v2 if player 1 passes directly to strike (player 3)
- players are not allowed to leave their zone unless the play a combination with a teammate in an advancing position.
- When play breaks down or if red team scores Goalkeeper for the blue team gets the ball and repeats the sequence
Coaching Points:
- Attacking players should always try to commit defenders before making a decision to pass or take the player on the dribble
- Players should look for combination options both in middle or upfront with striker
- wide players should look first to play to strikers
-quick movement in transitions
Progressions:
-Limit number of touches
-increase number of defenders

Instructions:
- The team will ball possession should try to work combinations which would lead to them finding the target player #3.
- The player that plays the ball into the target player/player 3 may go into the third zone and try to combine with player 3 where necessary.
- when play breaks down the ball is restarted with the goal keeper of the team the won ball possession from the restart
Coaching Points:
- players should look to get forward quickly
- identify opportunities to get behind opponents
- Players should look to move off a forward pass to open space
- players should be continuously making off the ball runs to offer support

5 v 2/3 keep away (15 mins)
Organization:
- Playing Area is about 12x15 or15x20 yard area depending on size of team/quality of players
- the team is divided into two groups of 5v2 or 5v3
- There are two defenders (blue & Yellow) and 5 attackers (Red & white)
- Coach has all the balls compiled on the sidelines and is responsible for restarting the play.
Instructions:
The objective of the game is for team in possession to:
- keep the ballas long as they can
- for individuals to get the ball behind defenders and work passing combinations.
Passing combinations include;
- beat a player 1v1
- play a wall pass/give&go
- overlap
- pop out/checking for the ball
- self pass (passing ball beyond oponent and receiving your own pass)
Players keep score attackers must get 6 or more passes to score defenders only need three passes to score
Game goes for about 120 secs then positions are rotated
Coaching Points:
- Players should always look to maintain posssession
- attackers should force defender to commit before making decision to pass/dribble
- look to get behind defender with the ball
-look for combinations with teammates
- attackers should always be looking to move into space
-if defenders are defending that space then drop off and try again or find a different space to exploit
- look to make off the ball runs or vacate spaces that your teammates are running into

-increase number of defenders
-reduce the playing area
