1v1's pressure from different angles (10 mins)

1v1s- Pressure from different angles

Objective:

Organization:

10x20 yds, 10-12 players (have two organizations going to max participation, and more repetitions).

#1- Defender coming from the front

pass-receive player moving into space. ***Movement initiated for pass to be played.

#2- Defender coming from the side. Balls from the side, onto player moving into space. Defender starts on same side as balls, runs to flat marker (5-7 yds infront) then is live to defend attacking player from the side.

#3- Defender starts on marker (3yds) behind the attacking player. Both attacking and defensive players are activated when player passing ball takes first touch forward. (***Balls not to be passed from a still position, ust move forward- relative to games).

Coaching points:

Controlled first touch into space, away from pressure, on the dribble.

Look for an unbalance in defender, body angle, space being given.

Seal defender off (getting in behind) after beating them 1v1.

Change of pace

Good transition if possession is lost.

(Let's try to just coach mainly offensive portion, but can still praise and or/guide defenders).

***Both teams defend, and attack from both sides (R&L).
