Agility drills (20 mins)
Equipment: 10 poles, 6 cones. Supply of balls
Setup: (Can run each activity using the same setup. Field layout in picture for display purpose only)
20 Yard x 20 yard box.Set up 2 lines placing 5 poles in a straight line 2 yards apart. Followed by 3 cones 2 yards apart. And an end pole 5 yards from that.
Activity 1: Players side shuffle through the poles, one foot (right) hop over cones, "hit the deck" after cones and back on their feet to sprint around pole and back to start line. (repeat with left foot hop over cones)
Activity 2: Players run forward and back between the poles, bunny hop over cones, 360 degree turn around cone on all fours and sprint back to line.
Activity 3: (remove cones) Players dribble through poles tight touches.Big touch into space after last pole towards far pole. dribble with speed around pole and back towards starting point. Once halfway back, play a pass to next player in line who carries on through the course.
Activity 4: (remove cones) Players dribble through poles tight touches. Players attack far pole as if it's a defender. Perform a move or turn in front of the pole (inside cut, outside cut, pull back, Cruyff etc..) speed and dribble back towards starting point. Once halfway back, play a pass to next player in line who carries on through the course.
Break into two teams and make in to friendly competition for speed.
