Activity: Angles & Movement
Field area: Goal Area
Equipment: Goal, Soocer balls
Sets: 1 set, right then left,rotate
Activity Description:
GK starts in between 6 yd line & end line
S2 syas "GO", GK drops back
S1 serves ball on ground at right corner, GK saves with low dive
GK up
S1 to S2, S2 serves ball to S4, shot on far post
GK up,
S2 serves to S3, shot on far post
repeat, start on left low dive
Progression:
1- S3 & S4 can move down the line for diffent angles and use near or far post.
2- S1 can pass to S2 for a layoff to either side
Coaching Points:
Movement, set before save
Postioning on near post
movement forward on S1 shot
Drop in on S3 & S4

Activity: 3 sets of 4 reps each GK
- GK starts either facing S2 or S3 on blue cones
- S1 says "GO", GK turns S1 serves
- GK drops in between red cones
- GK forward movement to receive serve from S2
- GK drop in between, holds for a second, then goes to S3
Set 1: S1 @ground, S2 Volley, S3 Volley
Set 2: S1 Volley, S2 @ground, S3 Volley
Set 3: S1 Volley, S2 Volley, S3 @ground
Note: Progression for younger players stay with this for activity
Have S1 serve, then have S1 pass to either S2 or S3.
Then you can have S2 pass to GK pass back for a serve or have distribute to S3 for a serve after set.
Coaching points:
Quality catch, movement (micro steps)
Stay low in ready position
Set before each serve
