Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): CG: Stop Starts

Conditioned Game (15 mins)

Organization:

1. 40x30 area set up as shown.

2. 10x10 Yellow cone box within each area

3. Team seperated into four groups

4. One ball per player

Instructions:

1. The attacker is looking to score a goal in either goal before the defender.

2. The attacker can only make their moves inside the yellow box, once the attacker exits the yelllow box they are no longer allowed to change direction and have to score in the direction they are facing before the defender.

3. Players which roles after each attempt.

4. One point is awarded to which ever per player scores first. Ties go to the defender.

Coaching Points:

1. Dribbling with a touch every step.

2. Keeping head up as much as possible.

3. Step on ball with sole of foot.

4. Take the ball away in forward direction using the laces

5. Acceleration out of Stop Start.

Progressions:

1. R - Players are only allowed to go to one goal.

2. P - One ball, defener can attempt to steal after two touches have been made.
