Primary Focus
Each team will have the opportunity to try and break lines. All players should get a better understanding of the principle. The in possession team will try to play through, around or over the opposition whilst using the target players either side of the central grid.
Organisation
12 players will be organised into 3 teams of 4. The red team will begin in possession and try play to the blue team to score.
Area size
25m length and 18m wide. This can be adaptable depending on age and ability of the players.
Player numbers
12 players in total, 3 groups of 4
Timings
10 minutes split into 4x2 minute blocks, allowing 2 minute break
Explanation
The red and blue team will aim to pass the ball through the yellow team either through the middle, around the sides or over the top. If the in possession team manage to break through the yellow team through the middle they score 3 points. If they manage to break through down the sides they score 2 points and over the top 1 point. After every 2 minutes switch teams so every team has a chance to play on the middle zone.
Conditions
Each team must stay in their zones to begin with unless instructed otherwise by the coach.
Challenges
The challenge is for the team out of possession to win the ball back as quickly as possible and play the ball into one of the mini goals.
