Problem 2
Attacking Team:
Problem/Management:
- Attack the middle of the field (*** Have their 9s, and 10 dropping into pockets when 6s are on the ball)
Solution/Coach:
Depending on how deep their 9, or 10 are dropping, pass them on ***
(Success for them looks like having the ball below our D)
How we prevent them from getting into the final 3rd?
- GK starts between 6 and PK
- Back 4, set your line at the D
- Two 6's, stay between 6-8 Yards away from our D/back line
What if?
-Their 9 drops on the outside shoulder of our ball - side 6 and receive:
Tactical solution = Pressure, Cover, Balance, but get compact when the ball is played
-LCB, pass him on to our ball - side 6 (If our ball - side 6 is too late/gets beat, and they are driving at us, Look to step before they get to the top of our D)
-Weak - side 6, shift over and cover our ball - side 6.
-Everyone else, shift to the left side
What if their 10 drops?
-We would have our 10 be the press
-Our 6s will cover him
- Back line pushes up a bit

Attacking Team: 1-3-5-2 (Take away the GK and 3 CBs... ***Have GK be the ball feeder)
***** 2-3-2
Problem/Management:
- Attack wide areas (*** Have their WB starting high and checking hard to the ball)
Defending Team: 1-4-3-3 (Take front 3 away)
***** 1-4-2-1
Solution/Coach:
Prevent them from getting into the final 3rd ***(Success for them looks like having the ball below our D)
How we prevent them?
- GK starts between 6 and PK
- Back 4, set your line at the D
- Two 6's, stay between 6-8 Yards away from our D/back line
What if?
-They play wide:
Tactical solution = Pressure, Cover, Balance
-LB, applies pressure on the ball.
-LCB, shift over and cover him
-RCB/RB, Balance us
-Ball side 6, shift over and support the pressure (You don't have to pressure just support our LB in case he gets beat on the inside).
-Weak side 6, will then cover you
-10, shit over on top of our 2 6's and keep our triangle.
Technical Solution:
-LB, your angle of approach should force them back or inside to your ball - side 6 for help. *** Do not get beat down the line. (If he does, coach how or why it happened).
-LCB, as you're shifting over, make sure you can see the ball and their 9, maybe even have your hands out in case he tries running in behind/wide channel.
-RCB & RB, make sure you're not on the same line as your LCB.
