3v1 two zone transfer

Two teams of two players (red vs black) with 1v1 in each half. Plus 2 neutral players (blue) that play for both teams. The teams are restricted to play within their half but the neutral move between halves to help keep possession. The players must complete a set number of passes in a half and then pass across to their teammate in the other half to continue play.

VARIATIONS:

(1) Can dribble or pass into other half

(2) Must pass into other half

(3) Touch restriction

Two zone Transfer to Targets

Two teams of two players (red vs black) with 1v1 in each half. Two neutral players (blue) inside the playing area. Plus two target players on each endline of the halves. Teams must complete a set number of passes in each half and then play into the other half and complete a pass into the target player for a point. Play then continues back in the other direction into the other half and to the other target player. The possession player (red & black) are restricted to play within their own half but the blue neutral players can move freely between halves.

VARIATIONS :

(1) Can dribble or pass into other half

(2) Must pass into other half

(3) Touch restriction

Target Exchange

4v2 inside the the playing area which is split into two halves. Plus a target player along each endline. The attacking players must complete a set number of passes before scoring a point by passing into the opposite target player. The defenders stay in the middle and can switch with the player who loses the ball. I like to play this game where the player who passes into the target player switches places with him and the target player can dribble or pass into play.

VARIATIONS:

(1) Only Touch Restriction - No set pass requirement

(2) Pass Requirement Plus Touch Restriction

(3) Players are restricted to play within their own halves

(4) Players can move freely between halves

(5) Players switch places with target player after pass

(6) Add a central neutral player with touch restriction

3 Zone Transfer

Two teams of three players (red vs black) with 1v1 in each of the three zones. Plus two neutral players. The possession players are restricted to play within their own halves but the blue neutral players can move freely between zones. Teams try to transfer the ball from one end zone to the other end zone to score a point. The neutral players play with the team who has posession. Coach can start each play with a new ball.

VARIATIONS :

(1) Set pass requirement in each zone

(2) Touch restriction

(3) Add target players on each end line.

(4) Add a fourth zone for more players

4 Quarter Transfer

Setup for quadrants next to eachother. Two teams of four players start 1v1 in each zone. Plus two neutral players who help keep possession for the team with the ball. The teams are trying to move the ball from zone to zone. The possession players are restricted to their zones but the blue neutral players can move freely between zones.

VARIATIONS :

(1) Teams must transfer the ball in a set direction around the zones

(2) Teams score a point by completing 3-4 passes in every/all of the four zones

(3) Apply pass or touch restrictions

(4) Add another neutral player

3 Zone Team Transition

12 players in two teams 6v6. Setup a playing field split into 3 zones. Two zones start with 2v1 in each zone. The starting zone with the ball begins with 4v2. The attacking team is trying to move possession from one zone to the other - from end to end to score a point/goal. 3 attacking players transition to the next zone to keep 4v2 in each zone all the time. One team continues to play as the attacking team for set time and then switch teams roles. Which team has the most points at the end of two equal times.

VARIATIONS:

(1) Set number of passes in each zone

(2) Touch restriction

(3) Can dribble or pass into next zone

(4) Must pass into next zone

(5) Vary the start zone - play starts in the middle zone and then attacking team can play either direction. If attacking is struggling to get to other zones, they vary the start zone each time to keep all players involved.

(6) 10 Players - 5v2 in the start zone and then 2 defenders in each zone with no attacking players in the other zones. All attacking players move with play from zone to zone keeping a 5v2 in each zone.
