25x20 Grid 2 teams with the team with two defending the big goal.
Attacking team always starts with the ball.
Encourage the attackers to attack at speed and use their advantage
Teammate should quickly find supporting angle at a diagnol away from defender
Should last no more than 5-6 seconds and should have high tempo
Progress to having the team with one starting with the ball thus encouraging defenders to find good pressure/support positions and to quickly deny scoring opportunities
1) The defenders first job is to protect the goal (deny the shot and cut off the route forward)
2) Contain the attack (force one way, cut off forward pass)
3) Look to win the ball

The team of yellows and blues attacks the team of shirts with the obejective of scoring on the big goal with GK.
If the shirts successfully win the ball they will look to quickly transition to attack vs the set that lost the ball and look to score in the 2 gates (place slightly wider to encourage transition out of defense to go away from goal rather than straight down the middle). Set that did not lose the ball will grab a ball and look to restart activity. If ball goes out of play (goal, shot, over touchline), same transition takes place.
How do we need to defend in the low zone? (compact or spread out)
What is the objective in defending at this stage of the attack? (deny quality goal scoring opportunities)
What does a successful transition look like? (Player who wins the ball - first look is forward or to penetrate, closest wide player looks to get wide to make field big then break line to provide penetration ) - Objective is to get the ball forward and wide quickly)
Do we all run forward?
What's your cue?
