Main Phase & Principle: Find The Attack & Switch The Point Low

-How to use 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, to switch the ball to 2 or 3 with space or time to progress the ball forward.

5v3 Transition (20 mins)

Instructions:

Balls is with red, they must make 3 passes between switching to the other side of the grid, if they can switch via "in-out" or midfielder turn and play - fb high or low they get two points. 1 point any other switch of play. White teams wins possession and can score on either mini goal.

Coaching Points:

Open or Closed ball situation.
FB High or low to offer support - situation differs.
Movement of players - away from the ball.
scanning/hips open to play forward
quick work in the transitions.

Progressions/Regressions:

4 Rounds.
2 Rounds - end to end is 1pt.
2 Rounds - end to end can then score on the mini goal- set and finish.

Find - 9v7 (20 mins)

Instructions:

9v7 to goal. Ball starts with GK, and is always played to CB, from there its a live game to goal, ball must be switched side to side before ball can be progressed to goal. Red are looking to build to create a chance on goal, or break into the middle/attacking third. If white win the ball they can go directly to go and have to get a shot or goal within 8 seconds. Ball resets with GK. Big focus here is the switch of the ball laterally through use of the CB/CM/GK.

Coaching Points:

Starting positions in the build.
FB high or low to support.
CB driving central, not wide to cut off angle.
GK moving to support so we can switch through him to other FB.
Can we find 2v1 the other side of the field?
Discipline of the 10s to stay central.
CM's active in the build.

Progressions/Regressions:

No longer switch is needed.

6v6+4 MSG (30 mins)

Instructions:

MSG 6v6 inside the field. Wide neutrals acting as FB in the build, can only use the N in your half. Ball starts with the keeper and is always rolled to one of the two CB's to begin the game. Build team can't be pressed until ball is played, Pressing strikers/team must start behind blue line. 3 minute games, or two goals to win it. Winner stays.

Coaching Points:

Composure of the CB's to play through pressure.
FB movement to provide high or low angles.
CM movements to receive and play under pressure.
GK to help in the switching of play.
In - out to break the block and progress.
