A simple SSG encouraging support play from wide players.
Play in short bursts of 3 or 4 minutes then rotate players.
Coaching points:
Encourage the supporting players to move around the triangular area to help support the central players.
Challenge the central players to make the correct decisions; when to use the support player and when not to.
Defending players need to recover quickly and find the best defending positions.
Progression:
Can only score with a one touch finish from an assist from supporting player.
Allow a supporting player to enter central area once he has passed in to a teammate, making a 2v3+1. If this player scores award 3 points.

A goal scored with an assist from the supporting player scores 2 points.

As a progression, allow the supporting player to enter the central area once he has made a pass to a teammate making a 2v3+1 overload. As soon as the attack is over this player must return to their original position.
If this player scores, award 3 points.

Set Up
Set up a pitch as shown, marking out 4 triangualr sections in each corner with cones.
2 reds play 2v2 against 2 blues inside the central area.
The reds try to score in the right hand mini goal, the blues in the left hand mini goal.
When in possession the 2 central players have 2 support players in the triangular zones, making a 2v2+2 overload in favour of the attacking team.
The central players are not allowed inside the triangular areas and the support players are not allowed in the central area.
Only the players in the central area may score.
