INTENSITY: Moderate to high ACTIVITY TIME: 4 min REST: 1 min INTERVALS: 4
Activity:
- (6) Yellow vs (4) black inside the area plus (4) black bounce players outside the area.
- Black aim to keep possession of the ball
- Yellow try to make their numerical advantage count by pressing as a team in tight spaces.
- When yellow team win the ball, they counter to any of the (4) small counter goals.
Scoring:
- Every goal scored off a counter attack for yellow team is 10 points
- Every 10 passes the opposition team (black) make is 10 points
Progressions:
1. Rotate outside players
2. Put a time limit on the counter attack (6-8 seconds).
Coaching Points
1. Defending principles of play -
- Pressure and cover: delay, deny deflect into tight spaces
- Compactness
2. Reading riggers to win the ball e.g. bad touches and poor passes
3. Counter Attack
- Speed of play: Penetrate the opposition quickly
- Mobility on and off the ball

Activity:
- 6 v 4 centrally + (3) bounce players and a GK
- Opposition Team (Black) aim to keep possession in half of the field
- Target Team (Yellow: #'s 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) look to win the ball in the midfield third and counter attack to large goal.
- (4) Opposition Team players (black) look to recover and win the ball back to the midfield third..
Scoring:

Coaching Points:
1. Reinforce previous points on Defending principles of play
2. Communication, quick reactions and team work to press and win the ball.

2. When winning the ball, penetrate quickly offering good support and balance.
