Technical Activity. 3v2 Counter Attacking
Two grids with a 3v2 possession activity inside. The teams play keep ball in the grids. On the coaches signal the red teamin grid A will sprint with the ball and they will attack goal 1. The yellow team from grid B will rush over to defend goal 1. The red team from B sprint witht the ball towards goal 2. the yellow team from grid A rushes over to defend goal 2. The attacing team has 6 seconds to take a shot on goal.
Key Points.
- Move the ball at speed with forward passes
- Not all straight runs, creative movement.
- When to release the ball, after forcinf defender to commit.

Slice of the Game.
6v6 set up in a 1-2-2-1 with the field split up into thirds. hen the forward gets the ball both midfielders can go into the attacking third to create a numbers up situation.
Progression - when the ball is in the midfield third a defensive player cna enter the midfield third.

- Clear communication between attacking players. Both verbal and visual
- Movement and passing options as soon as possession is regained.
- Creativity and decitful ideas in the attacking third.

The Session: The transition of not having the ball to regaining possession to attacking quickly towards the opponents goal via long passes/running with the ball/combination play. NB* A counter attack on a full-size field from our defensive third takes approx 15 seconds
7v7, blues must all be in attacking half to score (barr GK). reds must counter to score within ten seconds. every red pass must be forwards. (switch team responsibilities at half time)

Purpose - To create forward runs and passess when counter attacking.
Session - Player 1 dribbles at speed at the poles, player two makes a run in behind poles (Defenders) Player one plays the ball in player 2's path. Player 2 passess to the opposit side who perform the same activity.

- Player 2 chooses to overlap or make a through run.
