Skills game heading session, U19's, 1/4th pitch. using crossing with feet and 2 opposition there is more of a challenge so the repetition of technical will be important, if needed ill do more demonstrations to show proper technique but if possible ill use interventions that don't stop the practice. split the practice into two groups so everyone is playing maximising ball rolling time. defenders and attackers will switch so everyone gets a turn to header, cross and defend goals.

SSG heading session, U19's, 1/4th pitch, 10 players, 5v5 no goal keepers. a quarter of the pitch with 2 goals to maximise attacking play, 2 player in the side zones to cross balls in. I will avoid freezing the session and stopping ball rolling time. interventions such as fly byes, and bullseyes will provide players with information on technique and skills they will find useful.

Technical (10 mins)
Technical heading session, U19's, 1/4th pitch, simple start to the technical, throwing the ball into the zone to be more accurate, the attacking player will watch the ball the whole way lean into the ball and make contact on forehead and guide the ball into the goal. attacker then goes to the side to throw in the ball for the next person, the previous thrower joins the back of the line. start the drill off with a demonstration to show all players proper technique, then observe the drill, provide feedback and help using fly byes, and bullseyes. if players get the hang of it quickly, ill introduce crossing the ball instead of throwing it in as a progression.
