Players: 9-16

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Progression: Change area to two 20 X 20 grids with a central 5 meter zone creating three zones. 2 players in each zone, initial set up two attackers in each end zone, 1 defender and 1 defender stands out on one side in the central zone. Attackers aim to pass the ball from one end zone to the other past the defender, either directly or via the middle attacker (4 v 1). Rotate players through each zone.
Step Up: have the middle attacker become a defender to create 4 v 2
Step Down: have the extra defender become an attacker at one side to create and extra player (5 v 1)
Coaching Points: Perception: forward passing lanes, position of defender, support to ball carrier; Decision: Can I pass forward, can I create a forward passing lane with my movement, take a touch v first touch pass Execution: direction/weight of pass, movement into space off the ball

Area: 40 x 20 two small goals at each 40m end Players: 9-16
Explanation: set up 4 v 4 plus 4 players in each corner, these players should stay within a couple of meters of the corner in support of which ever team is attacking (creating 8 v 4 overload). Play starts with attacking team retrieving ball from a goal and attacking opposite goals with the aim to move ball forward to score as quickly as possible through the lines of defence. The Goals could be seen as a ball to a strikers feet. If the defending team wins the ball they then become the attacking team trying to score as quickly as possible assisted by the corners team.
Coaching: encourage forward passes, encourage first touch pass goals Perception: where are defenders in proximity to goals, where are my passing lanes: Decisions: can I pass forward, can I score with a first touch Execution: weight/accuracy of pass, fake's, faints to create space for forward pass

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Progression: Once a team scores, they can then quickly retrieve a ball from either goal at the end where they scored and quickly change attack to the opposite end. At the same time the team that were in the corners quickly moves in to set up defsensively defending opposite end and the team that was defending moves to the corners to support which ever team is attacking. Aim is to make the tranistion as quickly as possible to support more options for foward passing before defense is set
Step Up: Narrow area, one or two corner players can enter field as joker defenders Step Down: Widen area, one or two corner players can enter field as joker attackers
