Positional Rondo (25 mins)

The Session: 45 x 30 yards

-Players keep the positions as above

-Three players from the defending team press the ball creating a 5v3 situation in the defensive area.

-Two players remain in the central area trying to stop the forward pass.

-Work on composure and movement until the right situation arises to play a forward pass to the other side of the field to the five attacking players.

-Attacking players should move and become available for a pass.

- If the ball is stolen by the yellow team from a team, they must try and pass the ball to their teammates at the centre.

- The team that loses the ball tries to regain possesion (press) before the ball is passed to the central area.

Variation - Can add goalkeepers in the middle to make the forward pass harder to get through.
