Outline
Split pitch into 4 - 15 x 20 areas with a cone in the middle. 4 players to use 3 of the 4 smaller areas with a ball in each pitch. 15 mins
1 v 1 drill where 2 players are active in the area, a player on the outside to throw the ball in. The objective of the drill is to be the first player to touch the ball against the cone. Game starts when players on the passes the ball into one of the corners. Both players should legally attempt to get control of the ball and try to place the ball on the cone. All players to stay on feet. Winning players stays on and the player who passed the ball in is now active. If games last more than a time seemed excessive by the coach, both players are replace by the players on the outside. If ball goes outside area both players are replaced.
Mechanics
Enclosed space should allow the players to use each of the turns learned in the technical. Decision making by the player for which turn should be used.
Progression
If a player wins 3 in a row they move up into a specified group replacing someone the player with least wins.
Regresson
Starting positions and where the ball is passed to
Position of the cone nearer the outline.
Add another cone in each area to make it easier

Game Rules
2 x 6 player sides. 30 x 40 pitch. 1 ball in play (plenty on the side). 20 min standard game with kick ins
Conditions
Each team must excecute one turn whilst in possesion through a game before shot on goal can be taken whilst in posession. Each goal represents a point to start with.
Look to remove cones as play goes on, reducing to a free play game for last 10 mins.
Challenges
Points for each turn whilst in posession before scoring - 3 turns and a goal = 3 points. 1 turn and a goal = 1 point.
Progressions
Remove cones from central area
Increase number of turns before shooting
Regressions
More cones around central areas
Increase the value of a turn to be 2 points
Add channels where turns are uncontested

Technical (20 mins)
Pitch size
12 players in drill, so 40 x 30 pitch set into 2 pitches
Outline
Players split into 2 groups. 5 cones in total, 1 as a starting point, another as an end point and 3 cone targets to turn around. 5 ball in play for each group
Actions involve 2 active players, passer and reciever. Passer plays a simple ball into the receiving player facing the passer who then takes the ball and looks to turn with the ball in the direction of one of the cones. On receiving the ball, the player should dribble for the end cone and run with the ball around the outside of the pitch to the line. The passing player takes the place of the receiving player and the next player in the line becomes the passer.
The coach could suggest to both groups what cone to aim for with a demo of the technique. Change to another cone after 5 mins (each player to have 5 turns)
Key Factors
Drill involves 3 types of turn and this skill allows the player to learn the basics of turning on the outside of the foot, inside of the foot and 180 turn without pressure.
Mechanics emphasised should be:
Eye on the ball
Decision, change of direction
Contact with surface (if required) or feint
Head up
Low centre of gravity
Change of direction
Acceleration into space
