Building off the last sessions on attacking/defending. We now want to develop a 50/50 ball challenge winning mentality. Teaching players how to correctly sprint and use their physicality to win a ball. Players must be fearless and have a winning ball mentality to have an edge over opponents regardless of their size.
Players will familiarize themselves with the following soccer dribbling foundations *FALCAO using the sole of his foot start & stop and to maneuver the ball all different directions even to pass*RICARDINIHO with speed and precision using moves with multiple surfaces of the foot to create space for the end product
*GARNIER the freestyle skill master using moves both aerial and ground
-Quality of technique
MVP system
-individuals who demonstrate listening skills-effort-technial prowess -positive attitude -will be awarded an MVP point
the player with the most MVP points wins the MVP award at the end of practice

Instructions
Option 1 (2 balls)
1. Players will shuffle side to side and meet with %50 power in a shoulder barge
2. Coach will say (GO!) players will race to their designated ball and side (North or South) to score
3. if a player wins the ball first they go to the North facing goal continuing to accelerate with the ball they must take at least 1 touch after first contact then shoot at earliest glimpse of goal. this will create a scenario of 50/50 ball with pressure from the side with an emphasis on getting the correct first touch to set the player in there strid to score
4. If Defensive player steals they transition to South Goal
5 players rotate lines after each go swapping responsibility of A & D players.
Option 2 (1 ball)
1. If a player (attacker) if they get to the 1 ball first they must
shield the ball and try to come back towards to the south facing
goal, this will create the scenario of a Center Forward(#9) winning
the ball 50/50 and then trying to turn to goal with back to pressure.
2. If other player (defender) steals or wins the ball first they transition tot he North facing goal

Instructions
1. Coach will serve the balls out from the middle the players must
attack 50/50 to win the ball and aim for the target of coaches
choice each side will be a different role Attacker or Defender
2.after the game finishes the winning team with the most points
gets to have a free pass from 20 yards out to try and meg a
member of the opposite team
3. if you get megged the whole team has to do 10 push ups

There is no overtime, injurytime or stoppage time.
Teams are comprised of four outfield players and one goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper must wear a different color jerseythan the outfield
players.
There is no offsides in futsal.
Restarts
Kickoffs: are indirect. The ball must be played forward first. Tapped balls are not in play – the ball must move forward.
Kickins: are indirect. The ball must be placed on or no more than 10 inches behind the line and the kick must be taken within 4
seconds. The kicker's non-kicking foot must be out of bounds or on the line. (A kickin that goes directlyin the opposing goal is a goal
clearance for the opposing team. A kickin that goes directlyin the defensive goal is a corner kick of the opposing team.)
Goal Clearances: are taken when the ball whollycrosses the goal line after being touched last bythe attacking team. The goalkeeper
must use his hands to roll, bounce or throw the ball from anywhere inside the penalty area to outside the penalty area.
Corner Kicks: are direct. The ball must be placed directly on the corner spot and the kick must be taken within 4 seconds.
Free Kicks: may be indirect or direct. The ball must be stopped completely before the kick may be taken.
Penalty Kicks: are taken from the penaltyspot 20 feet from goal and must be shot at goal by a clearlyidentified kicker. Defenders may
not be nearer to the ball than 16 feet and must be behind an imaginaryline running from touchline to touchline even with the penalty
spot.
Distance: For all of the above, except goal clearances, opponents may not be closer to the ball than 16 feet.
Ceiling: If the ball hits the ceiling or other object, the team that did not touch the ball last restarts play with a kick in from the nearest
point on the touchline.
The Goalkeeper
Must wear a different color shirt.
May receive a kick in directly.
May kick the ball directly over the half-way line.
May score directly with his feet during the run of play.
May not punt or drop-kick the ball. (Ball must settle to the ground or be touched first, no air under the ball when kicked.)
May not possess the ball for more than four seconds in her own half.
Mayt hrow the ball directly across the half-way line. A ball thrown directly into the opposing goal results in a goal clearance for the
opposing team.
May only touch/receive the ball once per team possession.
Restart focus
the restart we will work on this week will be kick-ins showing the players how to take advantage of fast play and movement
Principle of play Week 8: Physicality/Mobility
Being able to win a ball is one of the most essential aspects of the game. A player must always be alert and posses a winning mentality in a 50/50 challenge. Regardless of where the pressure is coming from a player must intelligent in their approach to any challenge on the ball.

Stage 1
1. 1 player from each line starts at the base line of the grid moving
side to side on their toes waiting for coaches command when they
meet in the middle they must touch shoulders getting used to contact 25% Power
2.when coach shouts (GO!!) the two players must race to get to their color cone first coach will designate color. switch colors so players have to cross each other.
3.to win the player must step over their cone first. 1 point for the winner
Stage 2 (end product)
1 player from each side starts at the base line of the grid moving
side to side on their toes weighting for coaches command

2.when coach shouts go!!! the two players must once again bump
shoulders then race to get to their ball first coach will designate
what ball the players go to (North or South)
3.to win the player must get to their ball first for one point then
across the opposite end line first to win a second point.
