Session: 20-30 minutes
- 4 Teams: 1v1; everyone plays each other for a time limit so each team gets 3 games.
- Progress to same thing but 2v2
Coaching Points:
- Offensive - attacking front foot, change direction by feint/move (be deceptive), change speed (exploding away from opponent & stepping across him to seal.
-Defensive
1. Patience - be patience! Breakdown, and wait for the right moment.
2. Pressure - recognize when to increase pressure & when to guide him where you want him go.

4v4 Ladder Games:
Setup - Number wise you will need 4 - Game fields: 30 yards in length x 25 in width for this age would be fine. Each end-line will need a Pugg Goal.
Explanation - 5 minute games. Winner moves to the right, loser moves to the field left. After moving/break, play resumes. Goal is to be the team that is on the fartherst right field. That would be your best team. With the number of teams you have there will be 1 team resting and waiting to come on. So what I would do is the team on the farthest left that loses steps off and rests. Then if you have a few extra players just pick a few fields & play neutrals.
Coaching Points - Dribble: we do not want to see players kick the ball up the field. Encourage them to dribble/show moves and take players on.

Warm-up: Ball-Skill Focus
Setup: two 25-30 x 25-30 yard boxes. Cone in each corner and 1 Cone in middle (sometimes I stand there as a coach)
Explanation:
- 4 Groups of players each with a ball.
- Give kids a different way to dribble out and approach big cone. At big cone we want them to perform a feint/skill and go to the right. Everyone goes right and ends up in a different new corner of the box. Once they get all the way back to their starting point (then everyone goes left doing the same thing). After you go around to the right and left, change the dribble approach and feint/skill up at the cone. Want them to peform something different.
- Make sure to demand their change of speed immediately after the feint. "Explode" to corner.
