Lead session - Keep ball
Area size 30/40 sectioned into four boxes with a corridor in middle.
1/4 of group will be defending players, the rest of players split over the four boxes equally will be attackers.
The drill starts with defending players in the middle corridor, one ball is then released into the attackers who play 2 passes between those in there box before attempting to release ball into another box. Coach will signal for pressure to be applied by defenders allowing one to go into each box to try win ball.
Successful transfer of ball into another box equals 1pt to attackers.
A interception by a defender equals a point for defenders.
a successful number of passes in one box before transferring would equal 3 pts (eg 6 passes)

Main practice - Match relation
Area size full pitch, split into thirds.
Divide players into two teams and allow them to set up in a match scenario. Each player is locked into a third, play must always start with the goalkeepers and be played out to a CB once that has been started play becomes live. Here is where the understanding of the previous activities can be implemented. What options are available? how do we break the lines?
Encourage different options of playing out from the back.
CP:
Progression 1: Unlocking thirds to support attackers once ball has been kept for so many passes.
Progression 2: Limiting touches to encourage quick play and support.

Objectives - Passing drill familiarising players with the team playing out from the back so that they can draw the opposition onto them therefore creating space to play through the lines and attack with a overload
Four cones set out in a 30x30 square, begin with one ball to walk through the pattern of play.
One corner starts with ball playing it into middle following there pass, player with ball will pass it to adjacent corner and follow his pass. The sequence as shown will continue.
