3v3 +1v1
Set up:
-use one half of field for the possession game.
-3v3 (4v4 depending on ability) in grid with 1v1 at 18 yard line.
Instructions:
Blue team is attacking while the other team (red) counter attacking. When the counter attacking team (Red) wins the ball, they look to play the striker quickly. Two other players that did not pass the ball in move in quickly to support. Not defenders follow at this point.
Progressions:
P!- Limit time to 12-15 seconds once the counter attack is on.
Coaching Points:
-Quality of pass and 1st touch,
-movement by striker, quick runs to support forward,
-Strikers ability to hold the ball up,
-decision to play feet versus space.
-combination play with supporting teammates, scoring quickly.

Set up
- as in diagram, half field
-3vs3 with 3 on outside of field( adjust depending on numbers
Activity
-regular SSG, but to score a goal all players must be over half
-play for 4 min
-in this case blue team begins the attack
-if a goal is scored, the defending team (red) comes off and coach plays a pass into the green players who the quickly attack
- the team that scores always stays on, if after the 4 min the winning team doesn't score they come off
-the waiting team comes on
Coaching Points:
-Quality of pass and 1st touch,
-movement off the ball to support your teammates
-decision to play feet versus space.
-combination play with supporting teammates, scoring quickly.
-good weight of the pass
