Overview: Players must engage their opponent and shield the ball. Not just dribble away at distance to escape. In pairs, one ball between. Start by having one player hold the ball on the ground with one foot(only one hand can be on the ball at a time) and shield it from their partner. The partner attempts to steal the ball and shield from their partner. Play for 30 seconds. When the coach says "time" the player in possession of the ball holds the ball up above their heads and is the winner.
Progress:
Players pass back and forth about 10 yards apart. When the coach yells "play ", the player in possession of the balls turns and shields their ball from their partner. Play is for 30 seconds. If ball is stolen, that player shields the ball. The player in possession at the command of "time" by the coach, holds the ball above their heads and is the winner.

KNOCKOUT
Each player has a ball and dribbles it within the area.
Each player attempts to maintain possession of their ball while attempting to poke as many of the
other players balls out.

Rules to game:
VARIATION #1
If ball is dribbled out of the grid or knocked out, player does three toe taps to return and play in the Coaches can make the grid smaller
VARIATION #2
Elimination: if you get knocked out, you remain out
VARIATION#3
Two to three teams playing against each other. If player dribbles or gets ball knocked out they are out The last player remaining color wins

LINE SOCCER
Players are divided into two teams. Each player receives a number.Split on each side of goal.
Coach has the balls. Coach calls out a number and players with those numbers from each side spring out and play. Coach serves ball into the field of play or directly to a side
Play continues until a goal is scored or the ball goes out of bounds.
Progression:
Coach calls out multiple numbers (2v2, 3v3, 4v4)
Coach calls out odd numbers, then even

Double Pug Game
25x25 grid with small goals back to back inside the box. 2v2 inside the area with players divided outside box. Players interchange on pass to outside. Focus on movement of ball to find open opportunities to score. Movement of player inside grid to receive a pass and score. Players on outside should be always moving in their area to find angles. Winners out and must play an interchanging pass to exchange.

Overview:Using same grid, place two pug nets on end line. Split group into 2 teams with 1 team in pennies. All balls start with coach in the middle and pugs on end lines. Assign each player on each team a number (Team A 1-7 and Team B 1-7). If uneven numbers, assign one player 2 numbers each round. Coach will call out a number and those players run out to field and try to score in either goal. After play is over coach will score out a different number.
Each round should be 4 minutes with a quick break and point out two examples of change of speed or direction a player did.Play 4 rounds.

Greatest Game - Passing and First Touch
players must pass to each other while keeping the ball inside the lanes
- 1 point if the opponent passes outside the lane
- 2 points of the opponent's first touch go outside the area
Can play singles or doubles
winner moves up, loser moves down. Adjust the distance and size of grid based on ability

1v1 Thru the Gates (20 mins)
Overview: 10x10 yard space with two cone goals in the middle. Make sure enough balls for half of the group. Defenders start in between cone goals and attackers start 10 yards away. Play starts when attacker goes and defender needs to react. Players get one point for running through the gate and 1 point for tagging player. Play 2x3 minute rounds without ball. Add ball where attackers now have to dribble through one of the two gates. Play 3x3 minute rounds with attacking player gaining a point by dribbling thru gate and defender a point by winning the ball. Start without ball so players are working on body feints and then add ball.
