Ball Mastery - Move of the week 5min
Objective: To develop the technique to perform the back heel chop to take the ball away from a defender.
Progression: Players look to attack a cone and do a chop to get to space. every time they do they get a point. Who can get the must points.
Description
The back heel chop is used as a feint and turn away from an opponent. The players practice with both feet.
The back heel chop can also be used as a “Fake Shot” to commit the defender and then take the ball away from them. The back heel chop is of course not an end in itself, but works to create space for the next action.
Coaching Points for Back Heel Chop
1. Players dribble the ball under control with their right foot and look up to see where the opponent is.
2. The player makes one last big step and plant their standing leg (left) beyond the ball. Their left leg should be slightly twisted outwards because they will soon be turning to that side.
3. The player bends their right knee and lift the left up, covering the ball with the with their right foot back. Then use the inside of the right foot to take the ball away at a 90 degree angle to the left.

Four Goal Game: 15min 6:1 work/rest - Passing/Receiving (Focus on receiving)
Tactical : Build: Creating & Exploiting Space - Conditioned Game
Use this practice to develop your player's reception and release skills, encouraging them to find space to take the ball and play under pressure.
Organization:
Procedure: Set up the practice as shown in the above image and split the group into two teams.
Position each team with a Full-Back, Central Midfielder, Wide Player, and Striker.
Both defenders starts the practice by playing the first pass to the full-back.
Objectives: If one goal is blocked off can we score in the open goal. can we get players to switch the point of attack and score in the open goal .
Once each attack is finished every player moves on one starting position and the practice repeats.
Core Learning Objectives
Encourage all players when receiving the ball to adopt an open body shape, with their shoulders facing in the pitch and ensure they're able to see both goals.
When receiving the ball, each player should attempt to break a line with a positive first touch forward.
Players should look to find effective spaces to receive the ball by taking the defender away in the opposite direction from where they want to receive the ball and then moving quickly into the space that has been created.
