SSG- breaking the lines attacking (15 mins)

SSG- attacking breaking lines

Time limit- 25mins

Team- 6v6

Set up- 1gk, 2 def, 3 mid, 1 att

area 30x30 (or as coach see fit)

Cones splitting the area into thirds

The aim of the game is to score goals as in a normal game, by playing through the lines of defence

Game always starts with GK

Players can play through the line by passing through the middle, out wide or over the top

concentrate on the players passing technique/mechanics

ask the players to play through the middle third of the pitch by finding a pass into midfielder can be central or out wide then play through to defence and create a scoring chance

encourage the team to play the ball out wide and at pace to stretch the def team and create spaces between the lines

Ask layers to stay in the area of field def/att in final third, midfields in middle third

Progression-

Allow midfielders to enter all areas of field

allow def to enter middle area of field

add targets- can a team score within 10 secs of recieving the ball to earn bonus goal

Regression - 

Add extra players to midfield or Attack to help create more scoring chances
