1C1: One Cone I (15 mins)

Need: 1 cone, 1 ball.


Place the cone on the ground and stand next to the cone with the ball. Put the ball a little ahead of the cone, to the side you are standing on. By using different skill patterns you are going to create a triangle shape with the ball around the cone. You will always be facing forward. Once you created a triangle you will have 1 rep


3 Patterns, going both directions:

PSG-1 = Right foot Inside foot roll, Left foot L-move (80 seconds, 20 second rest)

PSG-2 = Left foot Inside foot roll, Right foot L-move (80 seconds, 20 second rest)

Marseille-1 = Right foot inside foot roll, Left foot inside 2 footed v-move (80 seconds, 20 second rest)

Marseille-2 = Left foot inside foot roll, Right foot inside 2 footed v-move (80 seconds, 20 second rest)

Lyon-1 = Right foot inside foot roll, Right foot outside 1 footed v-move(80 seconds, 20 second rest)

Lyon-2 = Left foot inside foot roll, Left foot outside 1 footed v-move(80 seconds, 20 second rest)


Coaching points

- Keep the ball close to you by having soft touches

- Get the ball always a little in front of you, ready to make the next touch

- Always keep facing forward, but turn you hips to create better angles

- Stay on the front part of your foot

- Get your head up after every touch, scanning the field

- Increase pace

Can only score with a dribble between the cones (goal)


Players swith after every turn from role (Attacker or defender)


Coacing Remarks:

- Make speed when dribbling up to the defender

- Find the right distance from the defender to do the move

- Execution of the move

- Accelerate after going around the defender

D7: 8 Shape Dribbling (15 mins)

Need: 2 cones, 1 ball.


Put 2 cones 5 feet apart from each other. Start with the ball next to one of the cones. You are dribbling the number 8 shape, going around the other cone, through the middle, around the other cone. Every time you dribble around a cone you have 1 rep.


Make sure you have 4 sets in total

Set 1: Right foot only (120 seconds, 30 second rest)

Set 2: Left foot only (120 seconds, 30 second rest)

Set 3: Inside foot only (120 seconds, 30 second rest)

Set 4: Outside foot only (120 seconds, 30 second rest)


When dribbling the ball focus on the following coaching points:


Keep the ball close to you by having soft touches

Touch the ball every step

Try to turn as sharp around the cone as possible

Accelerate right after turning around and taking the ball through the middle

Stay on the front part of your foot

Get your head up after every touch, scanning the field

Increase pace

1v1 Finishing and Transition (20 mins)

The players always play 2 games. The first game as attacker, the second game as defender. As soon as the ball goes out of bounds the first player in line can start to attack. The former attacker has to make a quick transition to play defense.
