Objective: improve possession through maintaining a big field when WE have the ball.
Organization: 18 to midline. 8v8 to 10v10. 5 goals that are 8 yards wide spread out in the half as shown.
Instructions: Team in possession tries to pass the ball to a teammate through one of the goals. Teammates may not run through the goals. They must shape their runs. You can't score by going through the same goal twice in a row.
Variations: Dribble or pass through the gates.
Key Coaching Points: (1) Get big when we have the ball; (2) Have support around the ball; (3) Eyes up vision of the field; (4) Don't be afraid to stretch the field with longer passes.

Variations: focus on one area of communication like turn.
Coaching Points: (1) players must ask for the ball feet or space, (2) players must pass the ball and pass information, (3) pass information early, (4) quality of passes, (5) quality of receiving, (6) communication also means listening.
