Speed & Agility:
Total 16-20 Sprints. After each sprint walk back.
1) Diagonal Forward Sprint. Facing Forward in and out, Sprint to first cone, back pedal to second, sprint to third.
Repeat twice on each side.Total 4 sprints.
2) Diagonal Forward Sprint. Lateral side shuffle, Sprint to first cone, crossover run backwards to opposite side cone. Forward sprint to first cone and go around cone facing forward, same to second, then accelerate through to third cone. Repeat twice each side. Total 4 Sprints.
3) Diagonal Forward Sprint. Lateral High Knees. Forward sprint. Crossover run backwards to opposite side cone. Back pedal to first cone. Crossover run to second cone. Turn and Sprint. Total 4 Sprints.
4) Diagonal Forward Sprint. Backward Diagonal Shuffle. Lateral Side Shuffle. Forward sprint, back pedal+ Forward Sprint through third cone. Repeat 3 times each side. Total of 6 Sprints.

Coaching Points: Core engaged, shorten steps as you get close to cones by dropping the hips (not leaning over).

Functional Defending 1v1 from crosses and straight ahead 1v1's.
1) Defender, plays ball out to B and defends 1v1.
2) As soon as play is over, both players have to run to Orange cone, and D whips a ball in for attacker, defender has to try and clear it out.
3) As soon as play is over, both players have to run to orange cone and repeat from A.
4) Finish with a 2v1 with player C and B.
Offside counts.
Scoring & Rules:
Defender gets a point if they can successfully clear the ball past yellow line
Attacker gets a point if they score in big goal. If clearance isn't successful, wide players can play it in 1st time for defender to work on clearance.

1v1 Attacking from Wide Area.
Organization: Defenders play ball wide and then retreat back to prevent attacker from getting a shooting opportunity. Attackers Switch to opposite attacking side and Defenders do the same. Swap roles after 4 minutes. Keep track of score.
Scoring:
Attackers 1 point if near post finish, 2 points if far post finish.
Defenders 1 point if no shot on goal. 2 points if win it and play ball supply area.
Coaching Points:
Attackers drive at front foot. Make defender turn hips, be the aggressor. Change of pace once you beat them.

3 Zone Counter Attack 'Flying Changes' Game (Positive Transition)
Set-up: 30x60 area divided into 3 zones. 2 end zones are 30x20 yards and central zone is 30x20 yards. Each team has 4 inside players and a goalkeeper defending a full size goal.
-One team starts with the ball (Blue) and aim is to quickly pass the ball to a player in the end zone and score (Through Ball). When the attack is finished, one of the defending team's outside players (black in diagram) dribbles a ball onto the pitch and starts a new attack in the opposite direction (the black defender moves to the back of line on either side). Her team must move quickly from defense to attack in a 4v3+1 situation (the blue player who jsut shot the ball tracks back as the +1).
-Practice should be continuous and uninterrupted at a high tempo. the players rest when they are outside.
Rules:
1. Only 1 player from each team is allowed in a n end zone at any time.
2. Free time and unlimited touches for all players / Limit the time for finishing the attacks to 10 seconds and limit the players to 2-3 touches in the end zones.
3. Other players can join attack but must be one time finish. (both attackers would have to track back on counter)
Coaching Points: Play the ball into spaces so that we attack quickly. Take advantage of the space and speed of movement against the defenders.
*Diagonal Ball to Straight run, Straight ball to diagonal run. Play in different seams.

A. First Touch Competition: (20 minutes)
How many can you successfully get in 30-45 seconds?
1) Receive inside of foot to outside of cone and pass it back.
2) R inside + outside of foot + Cut it back with sole across + Pass through the middle.
3) Disguise first touch to outside (with hips open up and bring it across body) + Fake shot cut w/ inside and pass it back centrally.
4) Disguise first touch with dropping shoulder and opening up hips last minute w/ inside of foot + Cruyff and pass centrally
5) Receive to the side with hips open, take a touch away + cut it back (your choice) + Pass
6) Peel off outside cone and Receive outside of cones, take touch centrally perform stop and go move facing partner then pass on outside of opposite cone.
