Warm-up (15 mins)

Organization

  • Divide the group in 2

Instructions:

  • Players should first do the exercise for 1 minute without the ball.
  • After 1 minute passes the coach will incorporate the ball. (3 minutes)
  • After 3 minutes the coach will add to the activity shooting to the goal.
  • Players will run forward towards the goal backward in the middle, then they will sprint zig-zag the poles and coming back towards the middle.
Coach Points:
  • That the players use a proper running technique.
  • Players react faster and more effectively.
  • Keep them active and make sure everyone is doing the warm-up properly

Exercise I (10 mins)

Organization:

  • Individual working time
Instructions:

We will be doing a reassessment of every player's physical condition.
  • The coach will test and take a record of the player's career technique by letting them jog 50 Mts. If they are not running properly we will be working on perfecting the movement and eventually come up with a better pattern for running.
  • We will be doing a speed test of 50 mts. I'll be giving them a resting time of 1 minute.
  • I will be adding a ball for those 50 mt speed tests with a ball.
Coach Points:
  • Evaluate the player's ability.
  • Correct and try to improve techniques.

Exercise II (10 mins)

Organization:

  • individual work

Instructions:

  • This is a circuit training to get better control, coordination, and motor skills.
  • Players will start by dribbling the ball in zig-zag (orange cones)
  • Then they will dribble the ball toward the agility cones ( replaced by poles) they will have to roll the ball in and out.
  • Then they will dribble towards the 6 different colors dribbling the ball forming an "8 shape".
  • Then they will dribble the ball between poles once they finish doing this they have to make a pass to the coach who will hold the ball until they finish quickly the coordination ladder.
  • The pass will be given back to the player as this one runs and tries to score while running (in-motion kicking is encouraged in this exercise but if the player needs to stop the ball before hitting it it's okay)

Coach Points:

  • motivate the players to do the exercise explosive but without losing the ball.
  • Watch the players, do not correct them until the 3rd try.

Exercise III (10 mins)

Organization:

  • 1 v 1 game

Instructions:

  • I will be letting the players have a 1 v 1 small game to see how they get creative when attacking/defending.
  • I am going to encourage them to pay attention to open spaces, recovery of the ball and how to stand when they lose a ball.

Coach point:

  • Keep players active and give them positive feedback.
  • Let them explore and do not correct them that much.

Small Game (10 mins)

GAME TIME

  • Divide the group into teams and play a reduced game with a small field so they are more opportunities for short passes.
  • Let the players have fun.
  • do not stop the game too much to make corrections.

Cool-down (5 mins)

  • Players should make a circle around the coach.
Instructions:
  • Players must follow instructions and focus on breathing while stretching.
  • It's important for all the players to stretch properly.
Coach Points:
  • Ask players how they are feeling and ask for feedback about the class.
