6v4
1. Each one of the defenders faces an attacking player
2. As the attaking player gets the ball, its respective defender will step up to apply pressure.
3. as the attacking player passes the ball square and the ball leaves the area, the same defender quickly retreats (back Pedal) to their original line.
4. At the coaches signal, the exercise transitions into a 6v4 towards goal.
5. The coach will play a second ball to the one of the wide attackers and the first ball is out of the game.
6. The defenders then retreat towards goal but stay BALANCED and compact.
KEY POINTS: The back four should not drop deeper than the 18' box. If they do, they won't be able to apply pressure and will be vunerable to crosses.

3v3 to 3v2 (10-12 sec attack w/a recovery-run)
1. GK plays ball to one of the Defenders
2. Second defender has to position in an angle to receive ball from first defender
3. As the first defender passes the ball the forward uses it as a CUE to sprint to receive an entry pass.
4. Both defenders become midfielders supporting the attack and building up in numbers to a 3v2.
5. Once the attack ends, the exercise now works the other way where two new Blue defenders must move into the appropriate position while the other two move back to back of the line.
Key POINT: balls should be inside both goals.
-If defenders win the ball they can counter attack
- Forwards are to remain in the attacking half.
- Finishing Defenders must run to the other side to recover. (ADD a time frame)
