Linear Speed Warm-Up (20 mins)

Band Progressions: Side Walks 10 each way, back pedal, Monster walk fwd/bwd 10 yards & back, 3 Way reach w/ Side lunge hold 10 each leg, Snap Downs (around knees) 10 reps

2 Foot forwards, 2 foot sideways, icky shuffle, backwards icky shuffle, in & out hops (fwd + bckwd), Lateral In & Out (2 feet), SL in & out

III. Linear Speed

A March 1 x10 Yards Hold hips, cross-arms

5) Receive & turn & cut it back Different Service

1v1 Turning Game + Technical Warm-up (20 mins)

Turning Warm-up:

1. peel-off

2. inside foot across body turn

3. outside foot across body turn

4. stop ball, over exit

5. Lay-off and peel off to get ball back through seams

Turning with Pressure Game:

6x6 Yard box. 12 yards between edge of the box and cones.

Player 2 checks inside box, player 3 defends player 2.

Player 3 is passive until player 2 receives the ball. (Want player 2 to feel comfortable with pressure) Player two then has to dribble to three cones before passing it to player 4. If they successfully complete that, they get one point

Rotation: Passer goes to back of the line. Attacker goes to passer. Defender becomes attacker. Person who receives pass then becomes Defender.

Progression: Live as soon as 2 checks to the ball.

Positional Play 3v3+4 (20 mins)

3v3+4 Positional Play Game

Grid: 16 x 20 Yards

Rules:

- 2 Touch if receiving hips open, or else 1 touch

- Defenders cannot tackle players, 50/50's leave it for attacking player

- Attackers should position themselves outside the grid, with one neutral staying central and the other filling in the other open space as shown above

Scoring:  1 Pt for passing from 1 Target to other.

3v2+1 Overload Flying Changes (20 mins)

3v3 Flying Changes:

2 x 5 min games. 10 Goals in 5 minutes. Run the Difference

Switch sides so both teams work on scoring on big goal.

Organization:

30 x 40 Yard Grid. 3v2+1 Overload Flying Changes

Progression:

3v2+1: Closest player or person who shot the ball must touch both goal posts before returning to play. Offensive Team needs to take advantage.

Coaching Points-

ABC - Individual Players

Transition 'Light Switch' : Especially negative transition. When you build out, what's your response when you lose it.

Overload emphasis: good quick decision making in final third. Commit player by going at them so they are eliminated and play passes into space.
