Football/Soccer Session (Moderate): Possession - MF Shape, stopping the ball into the number 10

Screen 1 (15 mins)

Small area split into 4 smaller sections

1 player from each team per section and then outside men for each team

Middle player plays for both teams and the aim is to get this player on the ball as many time as possible

Yellow team -

Make the area big, limit touches, can they be cute and find a way into the middle man.

Middle man to be on the half turn, can he play straight to end man or find a team mate who is free if the pass is cut off

Blue team -

Stay compact, stop the split pass from happening and force the ball around the outside. Outside men can be tackled if they are close enough and they think they can win the ball.

Multi-directional game, always thinking about thier position and how they can stop the middle man from getting on the ball

If Blues win the ball back then they become the attacking teams and roles are reversed
