Organization:
2 x (15x25 yard grids)
2 groups, players in pairs
1 ball per group but spares close by if ball leaves grid unintentionally
Big (tall) cone in center of each grid to represent defender
Instructions:
When playing from red cones:
A passes to B to start rotation/combination.
B then dribbles at big (tall) cone representing defender and plays a pass with the outside of the foot back to A who has made a supporting run up along side player B.
A then passes back to B who has made a run behind the big (tall) cone to complete the 'give & go' combination.
B then passes to a player on the blue cones waiting to excute an over-lap combination going the opposite way.
When playing from blue comes:
A makes a central run and receives a pass from B who then makes a supporting overlapping run around A.
A dribbles at big (tall) cone representing defender and plays a pass with the outside of the foot back to B.
B then passes to a player on the red cones waiting to excute a give & go combination going the opposite way.
Coaching Points:
Dribble at/attack tall cone (defender) and release ball with outside of foot as late as possible.
Distance of support (decrease distance of support to make combinations quicker)
Angle of support (try not to get ahead of ball so pass can be played into space ahead of supporting player)
Quality/weight of pass
Communication
Speed of play

Organization:
2 x (15x25 yard grid)
Players work in pairs
As many balls as possible at start of rotation (red cones)
Instructions:
Box 1. Over-lap combination is played between the attacking pair as in the warm up.
Defender A is waiting in middle of blue cones (top of area 1) and when the first pass is played A presses the ball acting as a defender but doesnt attempt to steal it (adds partial pressure).
Once ball enters area 2, B (who is waiting at top of area 2 between orange cones) does the same and a give & go combination is excuted by the attacking pair.
Once the attacking pair cross the end line of area 2 they set up as the next pair of defenders and the pair of defenders join the back of the attacking pair line at start of area 1.
Coaching Points:
Commint defender to ball
Release with outside of foot to disguise pass/intentions
Pass ahead of supporting player to keep speed of play high
Communication between attacking pair
Where should I dribble to create space?
Quality/weight of pass
Progressions:
Add goals at either end and play full pressure, if defenders win ball teams play regular 2v2 game until ball goes out of play.
Keep score between teams/pairs.

3.Floating players can score
4.Normal restart rules apply

2.2nd Attacker to offer support
3.Angle and distance of 2nd attacker
4.Decision making of each player
