7v3 - 352 Shape (20 mins)

Organisation

• Blue team and white team take it in turns to defend vs 8 attackers
• Each time the ball goes out, the goalie from the team that was defending plays a new ball out and the black team attack the other way
• Keep players approximately to their own positions, rotate if necessary
• Strict offsides being played
• Defenders get 1 point for denying a goal, two points for playing the ball past the half way line
• Attackers can not shoot from the opposite half

Coaching Points

• Defensive Team Shape - Can the back 4 be compact and work as a team to keep gaps small, set up pressure cover and balance
• Attacking Team Shape - Can the wingers get high and wide quickly providing the width to the attack? Can the strikers/attacking mid play in the gaps left by the back 4? Defensive midfielders, can we work on one advancing and the other covering? Outside back, support the attack!
• Goalkeepers - Can they use their voice to help organise the defence? Can they distribute quickly?

• Flip one defensive mid each to the defensive team, creating a 6v5 situation. Coaching points for attacking team are the same, but positionally must be more accurate due to less of an overload.
• Can the defensive mid 'screen' the back 4, and drop in to the gaps in 'emergency' situations
