wide players in each wide zone must stay in zones
Look to get the ball wide quickly and one floater can go and attack the cross with one sitting off
Opposite wide midfielder can get into the area to have a 3/4 v 2 in the area
Coaching points
Look to work the ball wide early
When ball does go wide first touch from wide midfielder triggers movement
Strikers and opposite wide midfielder get 3 in the box attacking the front, middle and back
It is important however that the movement is clever
Look for cross overs or double movement - striker moves to back then darts across the defender
Wide midfielder attacking back post should arrive late
Crosser get head up and analyse defenders - potential cut backs?

Coaching points
Work the ball wide early and look for 1v1s
Fullback or supporting player be aware of scenario
If wide player is struggling can you get round him
If not, can you sit off the play for deeper option
Striker and opposite wide midfielders must reassess movements depending on crosses and crossing position

1v1 in wide area
Look to get the ball to wide midfielder quickly and get to the byline and get a cross into the box
Wide midfielder should look to come off the fullback to receive in 1v1
Open shoulders and look to engage fullback
Strikers look to attack the front and middle with double movements
play blindside of defenders
Opposite wide midfielder look to get in and attack back post
One centre midfielder ring the edge of the box
IF wide midfielder needs assistant then fullback must overlap
Wide midfielder should look to come inside at this point
Fullback get round and create a dilemma for the fullback
Strikers now must reposition their movement

Look to take advantage of SOP and attack at speed
IF pass into centre midfielder is not on then we must look to get the ball through strikers

Can we hit first striker and get an across the face run to open the play wide
