.) Grid Work: Four groups of 3 a with a ball. Players pass in a sequence to move the ball from the flanks-thru the middle- to the other flank (change point of attack). 1st- Player in the middle receives ball from the flanks, turns and passes to the other flank. Player stays in the middle for a predetermined time. 2nd- Players combined through the middle and perform a give and go to the other flank. Players follow their passes.
As a side note, this is also a great dynamic and functional activity that has the players moving and the work rate should be more demanding.
.) Gate passing. Groups of two with a ball. Players dribble and pass through a gate. Partners try to pass through as many gates as possible during a predetermined time limit. Variations; double pass through gate, cannot go through the same colored gate twice in a row and add defenders
.) 4v4 to Bumpers. One team attacks while the other team defends. Attacking team goes to goal, while the defending team tries to play bumpers. If defending team plays bumpers - attacking team becomes defending team - then the bumpers become the attacking team - while the defending team becomes the bumpers. No corner kicks or throw-ins. If play goes out for a corner kick or a throw-in, the play will be restarted from the proper restart. There are goal kicks and rollouts for the GK. This is a great chance to work on player mobility and the relationship between players in defense vs the attack.
.) Scrimmage with the above topic in mind.
