Organization:
1. 30 x 15 yard area set up as shown
2. 8 players (2 teams of 4) set up as shown
3. Lots of balls
Instructions:
1. Each team picks a server and a goalie.
2.The server will lob and serve to their team and try to score on the other teams goalie.
3. After heading the ball, the same player now goes back to the end of their line
4. First team to 10 goals wins
Coaching Points:
1. Assess the flight and attack down the line of the ball
2. Jump from one foot (if required) or step into the ball
3. Lock the neck
4. Eyes open
5. Contact Head – forehead above the eyebrow
6. Contact Ball – top
Progressions:
1. P – Allow GK’s to use their hands to save
2. P -- Allow volleys if serve is not too good

Heading to attack Target
Organization: Split players into even groups of 3 or 4.
Four balls on top of cones about 5-10 yards away
3-4 players in a single line
1 player serving ball with hands
Instructions: White Server will underhand throw ball to own team. Player heading the ball will try to head ball down and knock off the ball off the cone in front of them. After heading the ball player will return to the back of their line and wait for turn again. First team to knock all balls off cones win. Do 3-4 rounds so everyone gets a chance ( Repetitions)
