Goalkeeper starts with forward movement out and around pole to come back into centre to receive delivery from coach/server.
Return the ball and repeat movement around opposite pole.
Notes:
Goalkeeper to use quick shuffle steps - weight forward(nose over toes), keep feet close to ground, knees flexed.
Keep hands in 'SET' position.
Encourage goalkeeper to step off line.

Goalkeeper side shuffles out to post, side shuffles back into middle
Coach/server delivers a shot to the opposite side for the goalkeeper to make a diving save:
-Collapsing Save
-Low Diving Save
-Mid-height Save
Repeat on both sides.
Notes:
Goalkeeper moves across goal as previously mentioned.
SET as server draws to shoot.
Use correct diving techniques to make the save.

Keeper begins facing away.
On coach/servers command they turn in, use quick shuffle steps to get in line of ball to make the save.
Repeat on both sides.
Progress to diving saves.

Goalkeeper starts on bottom cone.
Using quick shuffle steps they must work they way through the cones as illustrated, touching each cone.
Work both sides.
Progression:
Add traffic cones to one side and instruct goalkeeper to transfer cones from one side to the other, transferring cones between hands as they move from cone to cone.

Warm-up Exercises:
1) Goalkeeper uses different footwork as instructed by coach, through cones and into the goal:
single contact
two contact
bunny hops.
Coach serves into player (Coach decides on delivery; high, mid, low)
Goalkeeper returns ball, sidesteps around pole and back pedals to beginning.
2)
Goalkeeper side shuffles out to pole/cone and back into middle to receive delivery (high/mid) from coach.
Return ball and side shuffle to pole/cone (as above)
3)
Coach takes the lead, goalkeeper must mirror movements of coach using quick shuffle steps.
notes:
1) Ensure goalkeeper holds hands in 'SET' position through cones and on return to beginning
Encourage goalkeeper to take a step off their line before setting for delivery.
2) Encourage goalkeeper to keep hands 'SET', knees slightly flexed and move laterally keeping feet in line/pointing forward. Also watch for goalkeeper 'skipping' encourage them to keep feet close to ground with body weight forward (nose over toes).
Watch for twisting of body, feet pointing out, feet crossing, backwards/forwards movements.
