The objective of this session is to provide the injury player more cognitive functional dynamic movement with the ball and without the ball, so he can be tested at his capability to perform at least 75% at his capability on group training

EXERCISE PHASE 1 - 15 MIN
ORGANIZATION
Set up a grid 10 x 10 yards
4 poles less than three feet a part
A mannequin at the end five yards away from the last pole
1 server at at the end, behind the mannequin
DRILL PERFORMANCE DETAILS
On the trainer command, the player will perform a slalom run between the poles with the soccer ball
as soon he is approaching the mannequin the trainer show a color cone to him (yellow goes right) (Red goes left)
The player will switch direction and receives a ball from his partner or from the trainer. (ground pass)
35 seconds drill to be execute with speed, alternating the receiving leg
PROGRESSION 1
Player now will perform a quick shuffling between the poles, accelerates to mannequin, quick back pedal, and adjust to receive the ball on his left, or right side (preferable receives the ball with the non injury's site first
15 seconds at each side1
NOTE - Player should be performing all three technical stages, low receiving and pass, low/median knee height for volley receiving and pass/ chest and volley back
EXERCISES 2 ( 15 MIN)
ORGANIZATION
2 mannequins in front of each other 10 yards away from each other
2 cones 3 yards away from each other ( parallels to each other)
DRILL DETAIL DESCRIPTION(20 MIN)
Player will initiate the drill by stand at the side of the cone (L/R)at the trainer command he will perform the defending steps techniques, moving back ( tracking the player backwards) stepping L/R
Once he reaches the mannequin 1 he will them accelerate back to the cone that he came from, and shuffle lateral to the opposite cone.
Repeat the same sequence back from the cone that he ended up
35 seconds drill x 3
(both players can perform the drill at the same time, just place one player opposite from each other)
PROGRESSION 1
Now one player will perform the same drill, and the second player will stand 3 feet behind the last mannequin in order to serve the ball to the upcoming player. ball now will be serving at his knee height
PROGRESSION 2
Player, will receive the ball at his chest and volley back, 3 x at each side
EXERCISE 3
ORGANIZATION
2 speed ladders across from each other
2 poles( place 1 pole at the end L/R of the ladder that is placed on the middle)
DRILL DETAIL DESCRIPTIONS
Player will stand lateral from the agility ladder, preferable with the dominant (non injury leg first)
At the trainers command he will perform a lateral agility speed up to the middle and change direction
following the ladder all the way around.
PROGRESSION 1
Same drill as the previous one, now he will go around the pole with speed to change direction,
at the end of the ladder he will perform all three technical skills on receiving and pass back)
3 times at each leg
PROGRESSION 2
Same as above, now he will receive the ball in the air and head it to the mini goal
