Football Problem
We dont understand the football ques on when to break the line to put greater pressure on the opposition
Session Objective
Work collectively in defence to move together as a unit and understand when to press out and back into defensive lines
Organisation
8v8 Blue to move the ball back and fourth in their own area until an opportunity presents itself to play a ball through the lines. One red member can go into the blue zone at a time to try and win the ball. when the red team win the ball they try and play through the lines to their red team
Progression
Limit touches in BP
Team Task
Communicate on who is going into the oppositions area. keep lines tight and maintain same distance between each player
Player Tasks
Understanding when to push out of your defensive line to close the ball down and when to get back in
Coaches Cues
Did they read the right que on when to push up on the opposition. Are they keeping lines straight and maintaining the distance between each other well

Work collectively in defence to move together as a unit and understand when to press out and back into defensive lines
Organisation
7V7 with two keepers. red team maintain posession trying to stretch the blue team until they have an opportunity to shoot. entire blue team must be in the grid that the ball is in to encourage quick transitional speed and staying tight as a team. when blue win the ball they have to play the ball into the GK in the grid within 10 seconds
Progression
Minimum three touch in BP to try and speed the game up
Team Task
Blue team to stay together as a unit
Red team coninue to switch play and maintain shape to stretch the blue team
Player Tasks
Blue team to always ensure that one player presses the ball and the others are cutting off forward passing lanes to try and enourage them to play sideways

Ball mastery for 5 minutes. 1 v 1 defending 5 minutes start by shadowing only as the player goes from one end of the grids to the other. when they get to the other side they swap attacking and defending roles
Progression
no longer a passive defender. if they win the ball they try and get it over the ned zone to acheive a point. keep score and the one that gets over the end of the defending players zone the most is the winner

position yourself while defending to try and dictate the attckers direction and slow them up

positioning side on so they can recover quickly, can they stay on their toes, are they moving the attackers where they want them to go
