Ship to Shore - L1
Set-up
- 15m box
- Ball/player (in hands)
- 3 "seaweeds" (coach/parents) set up in fixed locations
In Ship to Shore, players need to get from the "ship" to the "shore" everytime they make it across without getting tagged, they get a gold coin. If they get caught in the seaweed (coach tags them) they lose all their coins and have to start over from zero.
Evolutions:
L1-Ball in hands with 3 seaweed
1. On "Go", with frozen seaweed (Stationary, not moving at all)
2. On "Go", with long seaweed (swaying back and forth [performative])
3. On "Go", 30 second challenge (players race back and forth as many times as possible
4. Same as 3, but, 2 gold coins if they do it with the ball at their feet. (lose all coins if ball touches seaweed)
L2- Ball at feet with 5 seaweed
1. Frozen seaweed (not moving at all)
2. baby seaweed (too weak to kick ball away when hit)
L3 - Same as L2 but more aggressive seaweed
1. Gross seaweed (sway radius of 1-2m in all directions)
2. Team challenge (2 teams, alternating across the sea for. 30 seconds, resting team counts their points)
Objectives
1. Attacking open spaces
2. Agility, non-linear movements to attack space
3. Ball mastery, kids associate their movement to space WITH the ball, opposed to kicking it past, then collecting it on the other side.

Ship to Shore - L2
Set-up
- 15m box

In Ship to Shore L2, we have more seaweed and all movements are dribbling a ball.
Evolutions:

Squirrels - Level 1
Set-up
- 4 gates and 2 triangles set up as in image
- 4 balls (kids can have their own ball as well)
- 1 parent for each player. If parent isn't available, then minimum 4 coach/volunteers
- 2 groups, red and black "squirrels" who will take turns either: a) resting in the tree, or b) burying their nuts
In L1, the "squirrels" (players) will be running from the "tree" (triangle) to the "holes" (gates) to "bury their nuts" (run through the gates. Coach will say: "Get Nutty!", and the squirrels will run to a gate and back faster than their parent does. When they've all returned, coach will call for the other group of squirrels to get ready, then "Get Nutty!" and copy what the first group did.
Evolutions
1. No Ball (L1)
2. Ball in the hands (L1)
3. Ball in hands, put it down, kick it through the gate to parent (L2)
4. Dribble ball with feet to gate, pass to parent (L2)
5. Same + parent passes ball back and they dribble back (L2)
6. Same + player shoots and parent goaltends the gate (L3)
7. Same + player tries to evade parent and pick a gate they can attack before parent reacts (L3)
Objectives
- Spatial awareness to go to a gate where there isn't another player
- Cooperation between parent and child (planning and/or reacting to each other)
- Learning to watch their peers perform while resting

Squirrels - Level 2
Set-up
- 4 gates and 2 triangles set up as in image
- 4 balls (kids can have their own ball as well)
- 1 parent for each player. If parent isn't available, then minimum 4 coach/volunteers
Level 1 saw the players running from the "tree" (triangle in centre) to the holes to bury their nuts. In L2, the "squirrels" will be trying to bury their nut with a buddy (parent). Coach will say: "Get Nutty!" and then the first group of 3 must race to the holes (gates) and bury the "nuts" (ball) by passing the ball through gate. They run back to the tree to be safe after they bury their nut. The 2nd group of 3 and their parents will repeat once they hear the coach say: "Get Nutty!"
Evolutions
Objectives
1. Attack spaces quickly
2. Directional control with the dribble
3. Accuracy with their kick

Tunnel
Set-up
- Ball/pair
- pairs are players and a parent/sibling
In Tunnel, players are trying to locate their partner then get the ball through the "tunnel" (their feet) to score a point. After the ball makes it through the tunnel, the tunnel shifts to a new location within the space.
Evolutions:
1. Tunnel stays in 1 spot until point is scored, then moves.
2. Tunnel moves to a new location if the ball hits the sides of the tunnel (no point)
3. Tunnel moves to a new location after a set amount of time (10s)
4. Same, but 7s to score
5. Same, but 5s to score
6. Same concept, but multiple tunnels (parents) and they all move to a new spot after set period of time
7. Same concept, but players are working together to pass to each other through the tunnel
8. Same concept, but players are racing against another player to get to a tunnel
Objectives
1. Spatial awareness (eyes up and scanning)
2. Attacking open spaces (they won't stay forever)
3. Directional control with the dribble
4. Accuracy with their kick
