Technical Ball Control (30 mins)

Technical Exercise:

Players split into 2 x groups with one group spreading around the zone evenly with 1 x ball each as shown above.

The other group will work inside the zone performing a number of technical skills.

Groups will swap roles after each skill is performed.

After inside players perform each individual technique they must sprint through the centre square and then change direction towards another outside player to receive the ball.

Outside players when feeding the ball from hand will simulate a 'throw-in' technique to replicate how the players would receive the ball in a game situation.

Skills/Techniques:

01- Receive on back foot, dribble through square, pass to empty player.

02- Volley back to feeder.

03- Control on thigh then either pass or volley back to feeder.

04- Control on chest then either pass or volley back to feeder.

05- Header back to feeder.

06- Control using any surface completing 5 keep-ups before returning ball back to feeder.

Two groups of players, 14 cones, ball each for feeder group, bibs.
