GK Aims
Instructions
The GK will start to the side of the goal.
On command, he will move over the large hurdles, and once completed, he will move behind the ball and pass this out to c1. The GK will have to remain in line with the ball to receive the shot from coach c1 who has controlled the ball and shot.
Through hurdles by:
Progression
After the shot from c1, the GK will rise to his feet to receive another shot from c(p) who is closer in (and has received the rebound)
Coaching Points.
- The GK moves easily through the hurdles and creates power in his legs
- Explosive speed to the ball but controls his kick out to the coach
- Watches the ball all the time and sees the trigger on when to be set for the shot
(If the GK is having problems with the trigger, get them to shout 'set' at the trigger point.)
